Software Add-in for Outlook
ClearContext IMS and Inbox Manager

Michael Linenberger has partnered with ClearContext, whose Outlook add-in software now supports the Total Workday Control (TWC) system

"I am delighted to announce that we have partnered with ClearContext Corporation. Their excellent software now automates most of the TWC system functions, and adds several other important e-mail features"
Michael Linenberger, July 1, 2006

Why Use ClearContext Software with the TWC system?
Using the ClearContext software with TWC is completely optional, but here is why you (a TWC user) may want to do so:

Total Workday Control custom configurations are built-in
All configurations in Chapter 3 of the book (and some of Chapter 7 and 9) are now built-in to the TWC-enabled version of ClearContext, including the free version.

  • This saves you between 30 and 60 minutes of hand-configuring Outlook for the TWC custom views.

  • Even if you have already configured your TWC views, if you are spreading the TWC system to your friends, they now have a quick way to get up and running.

  •

Many TWC system workflow steps are done more easily in ClearContext
Several key TWC best practices are made easier with the software

  • Example 1: creating tasks from e-mails can be done in one-click, and the created task automatically includes both the text and an attachment version of the message (which the raw Outlook version cannot do).

  • Example 2: creating a follow-up task to e-mails you send is a one button operation (instead of 2 steps in raw Outlook)

  • There are many non-TWC features built-in, which we like, which increase your productivity using Microsoft Outlook

These optional features are just plain too useful to pass up:

  • Example 1: automatic prioritization of incoming e-mail based on analysis of past e-mail usage.

  • Example 2: there is a "Related View" that shows all the e-mails, tasks, and appointments that may be related to the item you are currently working on (paid version required).

  •

And if you are a ClearContext user considering adding TWC, here is why you should do this:
The ClearContext software comes to life even more when you can apply a unified task and e-mail management methodology to it. The TWC system is the best such methodology available, and is uniquely suited for use with ClearContext.

    About Total Workday Control

Based on the best selling Outlook book Total Workday Control Using Microsoft Outlook by Michael Linenberger, The Total Workday Control (TWC) System will teach you how to change the way you work, using a tool you already use: Microsoft Outlook. This system, which has been featured in Fast Company and Investor’s Business Daily, can earn you back up to 25% of your workday and week, and help you take control of your e-mail, your job, your career. The system does this by incorporating the author’s eight best practices of task and e-mail management. These are simple time-tested practices that are easily applied in Outlook, but which have far-reaching impacts on your productivity. Best practices like converting e-mails to tasks, using a long term and short term task list, and identifying must-do-today tasks. The system also teaches how to reconfigure Outlook for maximum productivity. And now, most of those custom configurations are available as new built-in views within the latest version of ClearContext.
